A man was charged Tuesday in Napa County Superior Court with sale and transportation of heroin in connection with an incident last week in Napa, according to court records.
Rodney Sherman Forbes, 44, of Napa, was arrested at about 5 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Third Street after he was allegedly seen at 2:15 p.m. furnishing heroin to Jeffery Jones, 52, near Juarez and Post streets in Napa, according to the Napa Special Investigations Bureau.
Forbes allegedly fled the scene by bicycle, according to NSIB. Jones was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of 1.1 grams of heroin and booked into the Napa County jail, according to NSIB.
A search warrant was obtained for Forbes’ residence on Third Street, according to NSIB. NSIB agents, with the help of Napa Police, set a perimeter around Forbes’ residence.
Forbes was hit with a stun gun after a struggle with police before he was arrested and booked into the Napa County jail, according to a court filing and NSIB.
Forbes was charged Tuesday with selling heroin, resisting a peace office with three special allegations for prior control substance violations, according to the complaint.
