Because of a special event on Thursday night, the public opening of the new Century Napa Valley movie theater has been delayed 12 hours to 12:30 p.m. Friday.

The opening had originally been announced for midnight Thursday.

A James Bond movie, “Skyfall,” will be the first movie to be shown at the new movie complex, with a full line-up of films also opening Friday afternoon.

Future new movie releases will debut at midnight on release night, said James Meredith, Cinemark vice president of marketing and communications.

The 12-screen theater is located behind Target in the South Napa Marketplace.
