A 25-year-old St. Helena man was arrested early Sunday morning after an officer allegedly found him sitting in a parked vehicle with powder on his lap and suspected cocaine in the back seat, police said.
Around 12:30 a.m., an officer contacted Patrick McCreary as he sat in a vehicle parked in a dark parking lot on Oak Street, authorities said. The officer allegedly witnessed McCreary and his passenger toss a baggie into the back seat.
When the officer looked into the vehicle, McCreary allegedly had white powder on his lap and there was a baggie containing approximately 3 grams of a powder that tested positive for cocaine in the back seat of the vehicle, authorities said. McCreary was arrested on suspicion of felony drug possession and booked into the Napa jail.
