A transient was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of stealing $123 worth of clothing from Kohl’s department store in downtown Napa, according to police.

Police were dispatched at 5:33 p.m. to a report of a shoplifter in custody. The store’s loss prevention personnel observed Adrian Madrigal, 24, allegedly selecting clothing, removing the tags and leaving the store, police said.

Madrigal was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary, giving false identification to a police officer and probation violation, police said.
