A woman suspected of shoplifting $38 worth of clothes and cosmetics at American Canyon’s Walmart Supercenter at about 2 p.m. Wednesday was arrested soon after fleeing the store, police said.

Sheanta Alexander, 33, of Citrus Heights, ran along the railroad tracks near the store to the apartment complex at Tapestry Lane where she was arrested, American Canyon Police Sgt. Mike Milat said.

Alexander, who was wanted on a felony warrant out of Solano County for probation violation, was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary and providing a false name to a police officer, authorities said.
