Napa police arrested a 28-year-old resident early Sunday morning on suspicion of domestic violence and other charges, police said.

Officers were called just before 3:30 a.m. to a residence in the 2400 block of Colina Court on report of a domestic disturbance, police said. On arrival, Jovani Benitez Hernandez allegedly fled out the back window and was detained by officers.

During the incident, Hernandez allegedly punched a person with whom he lived in the face, causing visible injury, police said. He was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, resisting a peace officer and violating probation.
