A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with the theft of a vehicle left abandoned on Highway 121 south of Wooden Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Jennifer Fields, 28, of Grant Pass, Ore., and Eric Sapp, 35, of Sonoma, were found at about 3:30 a.m. on Monticello Road near Vichy Avenue, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office and the CHP.

The vehicle, a 2002 Subaru Impreza, was discovered at about 4 a.m., abandoned on Highway 121 south of Wooden Valley Road, according to the CHP. The car had been reported stolen in Grant Pass earlier this month, the CHP said.

Sapp and Fields were booked at about 7:45 a.m. into the Napa County jail. Sapp was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, being in possession of stolen property, according to the jail logs. Fields was booked on suspicion of being in possession of stolen property.
