A 19-year-old Napa woman was arrested early Thursday evening after she allegedly entered a home uninvited and assaulted her former boyfriend or spouse, and took their children, according to the Napa police.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Walnut Street and said they found that the victim had a small scrape on his forehead. He told officers Janet Padilla came to his home unannounced, according to police reports, and when he questioned her about this she allegedly struck him several times on the head and pushed him down. Padilla then went upstairs, retrieved their children and left the home with them, police said.

Officers said they stopped Padilla on the on-ramp to Highway 29 at First Street.

Padilla was booked into the Napa jail. The children were returned to their father.
