A 38-year-old Napa man faces drug-related allegations after his arrest Sunday morning on a roadside just outside the city, according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office.
At 5 a.m., a deputy checked on a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the Silverado Trail near Hagen Road and found the driver, Shaheen Ahmad, passed out with drug paraphernalia on his lap, according to Sgt. Jon Thompson. A search of the vehicle turned up 1 ounce of suspected methamphetamine and 6 grams of suspected heroin, Thompson said.
Ahmad was detained and booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of drug possession with intent to sell and violating his probation, as well as a misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia.
