A former U.S. Postal Service employee at Napa’s main post office on Trancas Street pleaded no contest to grand theft Thursday in Napa County Superior Court.
Grace Oca, 44, of Vallejo, was charged in September with one count of grand theft for allegedly stealing up to $16,744 in cash from the post office between Feb. 1, 1999 and June 30, 2010, court documents show.
On Thursday, Oca pleaded no contest to one count of grand theft under a plea agreement with the Napa County district attorney’s office, documents show.
The charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor if she pays back the money in full and waives her right to appeal the conviction at her sentencing, court documents show.
Oca faces up to one year in jail. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 21.
