Napa police arrested an 18-year-old gang member Saturday night after he allegedly tried to draw a concealed knife before them, then physically resisted arrest, police said.
Shortly after 8 p.m., officers spotted Marco Antonio Cabrera, a known gang member who is on probation, as he walked in the 2100 block of Parrish Road, according to police. Officers attempted to contact the Napa resident, but he allegedly refused to comply with their verbal commands and attempted to remove a knife he had concealed on his person, police said.
Officers tried to arrest Cabrera and he physically resisted, police allege. They were able to overcome him and place him under arrest, authorities said.
Cabrera was booked into the county jail on suspicion of carrying a concealed knife, resisting arrest, resisting arrest by way of threat or violence, violating probation and being a member of a street gang, according to the booking report.
