Deputies with the Napa County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 25-year-old Napa man Saturday morning after allegedly finding drugs in the vehicle he was driving, authorities said.

Just before noon Saturday, deputies driving on Silverado Trail north of Trancas Street contacted the occupants of a car pulled over in the 2300 block of Silverado Trail to do a welfare check, the sheriff’s office said. The vehicle was parked off the road in a rural area adjacent to vineyards.

During a consent search of the vehicle, the deputies allegedly found a glass smoking pipe and suspected methamphetamine, authorities said.

The driver, Alan Daniel Luis Plascencia, was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, authorities said. He was booked into the Napa County jail.
