A 24-year-old Vallejo man was arrested in Napa on Sunday night after a reported overdose, police said.

Officers responded to the county’s crisis center on Old Sonoma Road just after 7:30 p.m. on report of an overdose, police said. Brandon Lee Nimmer, who turned 25 on Monday, was reportedly coherent and responsive and refused medical attention.

During the incident, police learned Nimmer had an outstanding felony warrant out and he was arrested, police said. A search of his person revealed a bag of pills later identified as Roxicodone.

As officers attempted to place Nimmer in a patrol car, he allegedly broke away and tried to run, police said. He was quickly apprehended and booked into the Napa jail on suspicion of drug possession and resisting arrest.
