A man was stuck for about 45 minutes Tuesday morning in an elevator at the Napa County Hall of Justice on Third Street, according to the Napa Fire Department. The call was reported at about 8:15 a.m.

The elevator was stuck between the second and third floors, Napa Fire Capt. Pat Wamsley said.

County maintenance workers shut off the power and emptied the hydraulic fluid, bringing the elevator to the basement, where the man was freed.

The man was upset but uninjured, Wamsley said.

I'm sure he was upset, they probably found him in contempt for missing his court appearance....

Question: If the courthouse was criminal, was the elevator a criminal as well?
