A 20-year-old motorist driving southbound on Highway 29 Friday crashed at about 8:20 a.m. south of First Street, landing in bushes near Freeway Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Maria Castro Medina was driving a 2002 Jeep Liberty when the vehicle rolled over for unknown reason, CHP Officer Aaron Finnegan said.
The driver, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was transported by American Medical Response ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center out of precaution, he said. The Jeep was totaled.
As of 11:30 a.m., Castro Medina was being assessed at the emergency room, hospital representative Vanessa DeGier said.
Freeway Drive was temporarily closed near the Napa Premium Outlets while emergency vehicles were at scene.
