A 59-year-old Napa man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly overdosed on suspected heroin, police said.

The Napa Fire Department responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 3200 block of Laurel Street regarding an apparent overdose, police said. On arrival, they found Wayne Lopez Garcia unconscious in his bathroom with a small quantity of suspected heroin and a syringe nearby, police said.

Garcia was taken to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center. He was later arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was booked into the Napa jail.
