A crash involving two vehicles stalled Wednesday’s morning commute on northbound Highway 29 just south of Highway 221, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The roadway was blocked on and off for about an hour after two vehicles — a white Chevrolet van of unknown make and a black Chevrolet Suburban — crashed at about 7:30 a.m., the CHP said. About 20 feet of guardrail was taken out.
Two people, including a minor, were transported by American Medical Response ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, according to CalFire/Napa County Fire. The adult had minor injuries; the minor was transported out of precaution.
The crash caused traffic backups on both Highway 29 and Jameson Canyon Road, the CHP said.
