A man was arrested a little after midnight Sunday near Mini Drive and Highway 29 near American Canyon, riding a suspected stolen scooter, according to the American Canyon Police Department. The scooter had no license plates, police said.

Shawn Jamane Jones, 46, of Vallejo, allegedly had suspected methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine pipe in his possession, police said. His driver’s license had been suspended, Chief Jean Donaldson said.

Jones was booked into the Napa County jail. Bail was set at $50,000.

He was charged Tuesday with vehicle theft, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended driver’s license, with special allegations because of past felony convictions, according to the complaint on file in Napa County Superior Court.
