A Napa man arrested for allegedly driving under the influence Thursday had two 14-year-old children in his SUV, Napa police said.

A witness called police at about 12:30 p.m. to report that they were following a DUI driver in a white Chevy Suburban going westbound on Imola Avenue near Coombs Street.

The witness said the SUV was weaving “all over the road” and was driving in and out of the bike lane, according to Napa Police.

The witness continued to follow the driver until an officer arrived and pulled over the vehicle on Highway 12 at Los Carneros.

The driver, Vincent DeDomenico, 54, was determined to be impaired and taken into custody. DeDomenico also had a suspended driver’s license for a prior DUI and was arrested in connection with child endangerment. He was booked into the Napa County jail.

The two 14-year-old children were apparently unharmed.
