Two men were arrested Monday night in the 1600 block of Pueblo Avenue for alleged drug offenses after an officer stopped them at about 11:40 p.m. because they appeared intoxicated, according to the Napa Police Department.

Omar Maldonado, 22, of Napa, had suspected methamphetamine in his pants’ pocket, police said. Eduardo Marin, 34, a transient, allegedly gave Maldonado the suspected methamphetamine, police said.

Both Marin and Maldonado were booked into the Napa County jail.

Marin was booked on suspicion of distributing/furnishing a controlled substance while Maldonado was booked on suspicion of drug possession, Capt. Jeff Troendly said.
