A 2008 Ranger bass boat was damaged at about 7 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 29 near the Napa/Lake county line after the driver of a pickup truck tow vehicle lost control and went off the shoulder, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle and the trailer, which were southbound on Highway 29, jackknifed before the boat came off the trailer onto the roadway, CHP Officer Garrett Ray said.

The roadway was not closed, police said, but traffic controls were in place for about two hours.
