Project Hope: Baja is inviting the public to learn more about a homebuilding trip it will undertake this summer in Mexico.

An informational meeting will be held Feb. 24 at 3 p.m.. at Calvary Christian Church, 2322 Spring St., St. Helena.

The nonprofit effort is seeking volunteers to help build three houses in a remote area of Baja.

Justin Meyer of St. Helena participated in a similar adventure last August. This year he is partnering with Student Reach and its Project Hope: Baja.

This year's trip will take place June 9-15. The cost of participation is just $400 and includes all travel, lodging and meals. Participants will spend several days interacting with the locals, building the simple homes and providing water in the family's home.  The last night will be spent at a beachside resort as a way to celebrate with fellow volunteers.

More information can be found at the groups Facebook page, facebook.com/ProjectHopeBaja, or by attending the informational meeting.
