A 29-year-old Napa woman was arrested Sunday night after allegedly attacking her boyfriend over a cellphone, Napa Police said.

Officers were called shortly after 11 p.m. to the 200 block of Coombs Street regarding an alleged assault. On arrival, they learned Maria Guadelupe Pulido, aka Maria Mendoza, came to her boyfriend’s home that evening to confront him about some photos of her that were on his phone, police said.

An argument ensued and the woman allegedly forcibly took the phone and caused visible injuries to her boyfriend’s neck when he tried to retrieve it, police said.

Pulido was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery and misdemeanor battery, police said. She was booked into the Napa jail.
