Napa Police reported the arrests of four men in connection with a pair of thefts Thursday afternoon.
At 3:08 p.m., officers learned of the theft of mail from mailboxes at Silverado Trail and Sousa Lane, according to Sgt. Mike Hensley. Five minutes later, police were notified of the theft of handbags from the Michael Kors store at Napa Premium Outlets at 827 Freeway Drive, he said.
After receiving reports that the same vehicle had been seen near both crime scenes, Napa County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle matching that description at Highway 29 and Airport Road, and found five pieces of suspected stolen mail and 10 handbags valued at more than $3,000, according to Hensley.
Deputies arrested four men inside the vehicle: James Andrew Cazares, 35, of American Canyon; Robert Earl Duncan, a 33-year-old with no listed address; Derrick Deshawn Lyles, 32, of Vallejo; and Maurice Roy Hearne, 27, of Sacramento.
All four were booked into the Napa County jail for investigation of grand theft, burglary, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy.
