A driver of a pickup truck was injured about noon Tuesday after he crashed following a short pursuit with police on Hennessey Drive near Silverado Trail in south Napa.

The man, whose name was not immediately available, was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center by an American Medical Response ambulance with possible minor injuries, authorities said.

The pursuit began after a Napa County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a disturbance at The Home Depot in south Napa, police said. The deputy tried to stop the driver of the orange Chevrolet pickup, but the man took off, police said. The truck crashed at Hennessey after a short pursuit after traveling northbound on the Silverado Trail.

The driver is expected to be arrested, Napa police Lt. Pat Manzer said.

It surprises me, how some people think they can run from police with all the traffic in Napa.
