As the streets of downtown Napa are prepared to host a new group of sculptures, the shiniest of the departing Napa ARTwalk works will be honored as the favorite of the exhibit.

Reprocessing Orb, a spherical assemblage of stainless steel pots, pans, bowls and pitchers, will be named the 2013-15 exhibit’s People’s Choice winner at a Napa City Council meeting on Tuesday. Rick Tooker, community development director, announced the selection in a memo to councilmembers.

The steel-sphere sculpture by Donald Gialanella has adorned a pilaster on the west end of the Third Street bridge since May 2013.

Online visitors to NapaARTwalk.org awarded Reprocessing Orb the most People’s Choice votes of the 15 works displayed during the ARTwalk exhibit’s two-year run, according to Tooker.
