A 52-year-old Napa motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after colliding with a vehicle that made a turn in front of him, the California Highway Patrol said.

Around 4 p.m., Robert Free Jr., 30, from Sonoma, was driving a 1993 Honda Civic south on Big Ranch Road, just south of El Centro Avenue, when he made a left turn into a driveway, apparently not seeing the northbound motorcycle, the CHP said.

Dalton Vail, who was riding a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle, tried to stop but crashed into the side of the Honda.

Vail sustained minor injuries, the CHP said. No one was arrested.
