A Napa man was arrested on drug charges Sunday morning after he tried to dispose of suspected drugs in front of a Napa Police officer.

At about 3:30 a.m., the officer spotted Robert Lewis Barra, 40, behind a building on the 1600 block of Clay Street.

Barra threw a glass methamphetamine pipe into the bushes and tried to discard a bag of suspected methamphetamine, police said. He also showed signs of being under the influence of drugs.

Barra was booked on suspicion of drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of drugs at the Napa County Department of Corrections.
