Napa Police, Napa Sheriff and the California Highway Patrol will be deploying DUI checkpoints and DUI saturation patrols during the rest of December as part of a DUI crackdown throughout the region.
Napa Police will conduct a DUI/Driver's License checkpoint on Friday, between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. The location is not announced in advance.
"With extra travelers on the roads, and people attending holiday parties, we will likely see an uptick in drunk driving," said Police Chief Steve Potter. "Our officers will be out in increased numbers in order to keep our community safe.”
