A man on probation for resisting arrest was again arrested Saturday night after police allege he resisted arrest, Napa Police reported.
Knowing that he was on probation, police said they stopped to talk to Russell Alen Townsend, 24, when they spotted him on Lincoln Avenue near Soscol Avenue. Townsend walked away and threw something on the ground, police said.
Police said they recovered a makeshift glass-smoking pipe. Townsend had to be physically restrained when he tried to walk away from the officer, police said.
He was booked into the Napa County jail for possible charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, violation of probation and violation of a jail release agreement.
