Assault investigation in American Canyon leads
to 2 arrests
American Canyon police were called to the 2100 block of Elliott Drive at 3 a.m. Saturday on a report of a man being assaulted.
The male victim told officers he had been “jumped” by two men who asked where he was from, then got out of their car and attacked him, giving him a bloody nose.
A short time later, police stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle. Both the driver and the passenger had blood on them, but denied any involvement, American Canyon Police Chief Oscar Ortiz said Monday.
The driver, Eric Quitugua-Ignacio, 22, of Vallejo, was arrested for investigation of misdemeansor DUI.
The passenger, Samuel Camarena, 22, of Vallejo was arrested for felony violation of probation.
2 arrests following Napa domestic violence report
Napa Police responded at 10 a.m. Sunday to a report of domestic violence at an apartment complex on the 3000 block of Soscol Avenue.
Police arrested both parties — Antonio Frenchi James Sanchez, 31, and Nicol Elaine Sanchez, 31, for investigation of domestic violence.
Nicol Sanchez was treated at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center emergency room for visible injuries, police said.
Antonio Sanchez said they had argued about how to discipline their two children, police said. He told police that he had fled the apartment when Nicol Sanchez had tried to stab him with scissors.
Both were arrested and booked into the Napa County jail. Child Protective Services took possession of both of their children, police said.
Police said they took possession of several assault rifles and a pistol that were in the apartment.
Napa Police arrest man for suspected possession of methamphetamine for sale
A 23-year-old Napa man was arrested early Sunday morning for investigation of possessing methamphetamine for sale.
Police said they contacted a man acting suspicious who was in a vehicle parked on Elm Street.
When he was being patted down, the man began to struggle and pulled away from officers, police said.
Police said they recovered a glass methamphetamine smoking pipe, six grams of meth and $865 in cash.
The suspect, Ricardo Navarrete-Galvan, was booked into the Napa County jail for investigation of resisting arrest and possession of methamphetamine for sale. He was released on $50,000 bail.
