A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a weapon on Thursday morning following reports of a person walking through the neighborhood near McCormick Lane and Browns Valley Road about 5:45 a.m., according to Napa Police.
Officer responding to the scene located Humberto Luis Sosa in a vehicle at the end McCormick Lane. Sosa was holding a Glock .40 caliber pistol when he exited the vehicle, but dropped the gun when commanded to by officers, police said.
Sosa, who had an extra loaded magazine with him, told officers that he had been “looking for someone,” according to police. Sosa was under the influence of a controlled substance, police said.
Sosa was arrested and booked at the Napa County jail on suspicion of felony brandishing a weapon and misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
