Carl Douglas (Doug) Clark, 81, passed away on Jan. 9, 2010, after a long illness. He was born June 7, 1928, in Wetumka, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Patti; daughter, Connie Pericoli; son, Brad Clark; grandchildren, Nick and Katie Pericoli; brother, Dale and Rita Clark.
He was an avid fan of PBR (Professional Bull Riding), rodeo and anything Western. Patti owned Clark’s tours and travel, which allowed them to travel around the world. Some of his favorites were Africa, Galapagos, Alaska and Tennessee. He also loved his trips to Reno, where he usually returned home with more than he had when he left.
Over the last few years they were able to spend several months in Hawaii; he will be greatly missed by the many friends in the islands.
After retirement, Doug and Patti bought a second home on Lake Oroville, as some of his passions were bass fishing, wildlife, his yard and where to find the cheapest gas!
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, at 2:30 p.m., in the chapel at the new Tulocay Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be sent to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, 1700 N.E. 63rd St., Oklahoma City, OK 73111, www.nationalcowboymuseum.org.
Aloha and happy trails!
