James Peter Graham passed away in Seattle on April 14, 2012, at the age of 51.
A man of many talents and deep commitment to friends, family and the youth with whom he worked, Jim will be missed by all who were privileged to know his vitality, insight, intelligence and humor.
Jim attended Browns Valley Elementary School, Ridgeview Junior High, and Napa High School before going to college at Seattle Pacific University, where he majored in education. He first taught in California and subsequently earned a master’s degree at the University of Washington.
His career began as a certified counselor and school psychologist in Seattle in 1990. Jim’s unique gift for understanding the experiences of children made him a counselor of great empathy.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Quall, and stepson, Gus, of Seattle; stepmother, Mignon of Napa; and brother, Robert of Phoenix. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara Graham.
A celebration of Jim’s life was held on April 21 in Seattle. Memorial gifts may be sent to Westminster Woods Conference Center, 6510 Bohemian Highway, Occidental, CA 95465.
