A wanted parolee was arrested Friday night on Mare Island after a police officer tried to stop him on Mini Drive near American Canyon and pursued him for 15 minutes, according to the American Canyon Police Department.

On Mare Island, Timothy Michael Callison, 40, of Benicia allegedly tried to flee on foot before he was apprehended, police said. He was wanted on an unspecified number of outstanding warrants, police said. Suspected cocaine was found in the car, police said.

Callison was booked into the Napa County jail on the warrants and on suspicion of violating parole, police said. Further details were not available.
