The northbound Highway 29 off-ramp at Trancas Street in Napa will be temporarily closed Thursday night for a follow-up police investigation, according to a Nixle alert released by Napa Police on Wednesday. 

The road closure will be in effect between 10 p.m. Thursday until 2 a.m. Friday.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternative routes. 

Police suggested that northbound 29 traffic heading eastbound on Trancas Street reroute to Sierra Avenue. Westbound traffic on Trancas/Redwood can reroute to westbound Trower Avenue, police said.
