Police responded at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a man with a knife at the Jefferson Food Mart, 1704 Jefferson St.
A clerk said he spotted a shopper conceal several bottles of alcohol on his person, police said. When he confronted the man, the shopper brandished an open folding blade knife, he told police.
Police arrested Kristopher Booth, 39, of Napa for investigation of exhibiting a deadly weapon, public intoxication and violation of probation. He was booked at the Napa County jail.
