The National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Napa area before noon Sunday. Afterward, skies are expected to turn partly sunny, with a high temperature of 79 degrees at Napa County Airport.

Clouds are forecast to increase after dark, giving way to patchy fog after 3 a.m. The low forecast is 53.

Winds should come from the west-southwest at 7-15 mph, with evening gusts approaching 18 mph.

Light overnight fog and low-80s temperature peaks are forecast throughout the week.

Here is the five-day weather outlook for Napa:

Monday: 80 / 54 — patchy fog before 9 a.m. and after midnight; otherwise, mostly cloudy through mid-morning before gradually clearing, then turning partly cloudy after dark

Tuesday: 81 / 55 — patchy fog before noon and after midnight; mostly sunny afternoon followed by partly cloudy evening skies

Wednesday: 81 / 55 — patchy fog before noon and after midnight; mostly sunny afternoon skies, mostly clear in the early evening

Thursday: 80 / 55 — patchy fog before noon and after midnight; otherwise, sunny and remaining mostly clear in the evening

Friday: 80 / 54 — patchy fog before noon and after midnight; mostly sunny in the afternoon, turning partly cloudy at night
