Soscol Cafe has re-opened after being closed more than a week ago for problems with mice.
County health inspectors reinstated the diner’s health permit Friday. Soscol Cafe, located at 632 Soscol Ave., was approved to re-open Sunday.
The Napa diner, popular for its breakfasts, was closed during the first week of January after health inspectors observed a dead mouse and mouse droppings inside the facility.
According to the latest report, Soscol Cafe has fixed problems with its walls, floors and ceiling. The facility also installed a door that will be self-closing.
The health permit was reinstated with the condition that all exposed wooden surfaces are sealed, and that the diner will start storing food in the shed when all the work is done and the surfaces are cleaned.
