A woman was arrested at 9 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Trower Avenue after her boyfriend was injured when the Nissan Xterra she was driving struck him near their hotel, according to Napa Police.

Erin Bridget Kelly, 22, of Morley, Australia, told police she wanted to go buy cigarettes but her boyfriend did not want her to leave the hotel. She was driving east through the parking lot of the hotel when her boyfriend left the lobby and approached the SUV, police said. The man was struck when he moved in front of the SUV, police said.

He was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, for a cut to his head, police said. The man, who also had a skull fracture, was then transferred to UC Davis Medical Center.

Kelly displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, police said. She was arrested and booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury, police said.
