Two men were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of stealing a basketball hoop, ripping off the tags and trying to return it for cash at the customer service counter at the Walmart Supercenter in American Canyon, police said.

Corey Fresh Hollie, 21, of Sacramento, and Marshay Markell Ammons, 23, of Fairfield, allegedly were trying to get a refund for the $140 item, Chief Jean Donaldson said.

Both were arrested and booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary, police said. Hollie was also booked on suspicion of parole violation; Ammons was booked on a misdemeanor warrant from Solano County, police said.
