Silverado Trail at Oak Knoll Avenue Accident

Traffic was blocked on Silverado Trail in the vicinity of Oak Knoll for about an hour early Friday afternoon after a major injury traffic collision between a coupe and a pickup truck, according to California Highway Patrol.

A Ford Mustang was heading eastbound on Oak Knoll when it turned left to go northbound on Silverado Trail and was struck by a GMC pickup truck heading southbound on Silverado Trail about 1:40 p.m., officials said. 

The driver of the Mustang, Elijah Clark, 19, of Vallejo, was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major injuries. The other driver, Johnnie White, 32, of St. Helena, did not have any reported injuries. 

Both vehicles sustained major damage.
