A woman was arrested Monday night at Walmart Supercenter in American Canyon after she was observed putting cheaper tags on merchandise, according to the American Canyon Police Department. She then paid $48 less than what she should have, Chief Tracey Stuart said.

Carla Southerland, 40, of Vallejo, was detained outside the store. She allegedly had a drug pipe with a usable amount of suspected methamphetamine, Stuart said.

Southerland was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of being in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia possession and of petty theft with priors, police said.
