Charles Spradlin, born Aug. 29, 1948, in San Francisco, died July 27, 2013, in American Canyon. He was 64.
Chuck graduated from Napa High School in 1966, joined the U.S. Army in 1967, trained as a combat medic and was honorably discharged in 1970. He worked at Dext Corp. for 32 years. On Aug. 31, 1974, Chuck married Debbie Parmley, his soul mate.
Chuck, a foster parent, loved his family. He enjoyed fishing and camping in Sierra City.
Survivors include wife Debbie Spradlin; children Charity (Jeffrey) Gorr, Holly Spradlin (Marek), Renee Chaney and Cristal Mata; siblings Charlene Chambers, Jim Spradlin, Krissy Sission and Tammy Foster; grandchildren Ansleigh Spradlin, Bryce Marek, Jeffrey Gorr Jr., “Baby Boy” Gorr, Bianca Mata, Maddison Kemp and Kodi Craig. Chuck’s parents, brother Bob and nephew Jimmy preceded him in death.
The memorial is 1 p.m. Sept. 8 at Kennedy Park.
