A month ago, I called the Napa Valley Register with a complaint. When redesigning the comic page, they made Sudoku smaller. It was crammed near Bizarro, Family Circus, and the bottom ad section.
I wasn't used to this size, and I had to think smaller. The gentleman I spoke with was quite pleasant and told me he could mention it to staff. I was grateful that he didn't just tell me "to get a life."
Since that time, I have adapted to the size, and can tolerate it.
Now, instead of a complaint, I would to share some praises for the Register and its staff.
#1: I love the display of large pictures for the obituaries, and the list at the bottom of the front page.
#2: Wow -- a whole page devoted to the NFL Wild Card playoff schedule. I am not being facetious. I am an avid Fantasy Football player.
#3: You seem to be working towards pleasing a broad spectrum of readers. Your content and designs are fantastic.
Thank You, dear Napa Valley Register staff and the paper carriers, also. They keep up very well.
