The National Rifle Association says that there are plenty of gun laws on the books already -- they just are not enforced. I don't think the Las Vegas shooter broke any laws at all, except the one about killing people. Everything he did was perfectly legal.
The NRA also says that "the only way to stop a bad man with a gun is a good man with a gun." What would that good man have accomplished against a sniper high up in a hotel with a roomful of automatic weapons?
We Americans love our Second Amendment, especially that part about the right to keep and bear arms. What about the "well-regulated militia" part? All of us have blood on our hands because we have sat by and allowed this insanity about gun ownership with few constraints. We have the country we deserve.
