Let's marchThe fifth annual Halloween Parade is Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. Children and their young-at-heart adult companions are invited to dress up in their scariest garb and march along.

Breakfast, anyone?Taqueria Rosita opened several weeks ago after being closed for a kitchen remodel. There’s also a change to the menu — they are now open for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, 8:30 a.m. to noon. This is breakfast with a Mexican flair, and it’s good.

Let's keep it localThe 32nd annual Napa Wine & Crafts Faire is Sept. 13, on First Street in downtown Napa. The event features close to 200 artists showing original handcrafted arts and crafts, and is free to attend. It’s a must see if shopping for yourself or if trying to get a jump on Christmas shopping.

Let's Work TogetherMike Alimusa, owner of Small World Café at 928 Coombs Street (between First and Second) believes in a fair meal for a fair price. Just like everybody else though, he is being impacted by the economy. “Food prices are getting higher every day,” he said. But while many businesses are passing the higher costs along to customers, Alimusa isn’t raising his prices. “So, I make a little less profit. My customers are still coming to me, and they will continue to come when the economy is better again. They make sacrifices, so I make sacrifices.”
