Ryan Imhoff was named as the Frontier Conference Player of the Week for the sixth time this season for the Carroll College men’s basketball team.

Ryan Imhoff, a 6-foot-6 senior guard, was named as the Frontier Conference Player of the Week for the sixth time this season for the Carroll College (Helena, Montana) men’s basketball team.

Imhoff, a Napa High School graduate, averaged 27 points on 52.9 percent shooting, 6.5 rebounds, four steals and two assists for the two games.

Carroll College (22-4 overall, 10-4 Frontier Conference) is No. 6 in the NAIA Division I Top 25 Coaches’ Poll.

For the season, Imhoff is averaging 20.3 points, 7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.1 blocks in 31.4 minutes per game.

NVC wins third game in a row

The Napa Valley College baseball team won its third game in a row, beating City College of San Francisco on Tuesday, 12-7, in a nonconference game at Storm Field.

Napa Valley (4-3 overall) out-hit San Francisco 17-8. The Storm scored three runs in the first inning, four runs in the fourth inning and four more runs in the eighth inning.

Napa Valley overcame five errors.

Five players had multi-hit games for Napa Valley, which was led by Justin Banks (4-for-5, three RBIs).

The other top hitters were Sam Dinerman (3-for-5, double, RBI), Josh Abraham (2-for-5, two doubles), Brooks Green (2-for-4, double, two RBIs), Tyler Whitehead (2-for-4, triple), Aaron Reardon (1-for-3, home run, two RBIs), Carter Pennington (1-for-3, two RBIs), Louis Hall (1-for-4), and Trent Davis (1-for-3, triple).

Nathan Kaufmann got the start and went four innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on four hits, walking one and striking out four.

Nick Adair pitched four shutout innings and allowed just two hits, while walking three and striking out two.

Pennington pitched one inning and allowed one run (earned) on two hits while walking one.
