Here’s a look at upcoming golf events around the county:

 

Dr. Dwight H. Murray, Sr. Men’s Golf Invitational Monday

The 36th annual Dr. Dwight H. Murray, Sr. Men’s Golf Invitational, a benefit for the Queen of the Valley Medical Center Foundation, is May 3 at Napa Valley Country Club. The cost is $215. It’s a 1 p.m. shotgun start and is a two-man best ball at 90 percent of handicap.

There is a buffet luncheon (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), no-host cocktails (6-6:45 p.m.) and dinner (6:45 p.m.). All entrants receive a tee prize, buffet luncheon, beverages on the course, dinner, wine and brandy. The cost for dinner only is $60.

Cinco De Mayo Golf Classic May 7

The Cinco De Mayo Golf Classic is coming to Silverado Resort on Saturday, May 7 from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event supports Napa Valley farmworkers and is celebrating its 12th year. 

It is the only fundraising event in Napa Valley to be exclusively dedicated to the needs of farm workers, with proceeds going to improve farmworker housing, healthcare and education.

The cost for Double Eagle groups is $1,500. This group includes four golfers, cart, continental breakfast, margaritas, lunch, tee prices and tee sign with sponsor’s name. The Eagle group cost is $750. This group includes two golfers and all of the above. The Tee Sponsor cost is $75 and includes a tee sign with sponsor’s name. The cost for single players is $175.

The Mexican fiesta-style post tournament luncheon is $35.

Napa Valley Community Housing Golf Tournament May 12

Napa Valley Community Housing is hosting a fundraising golf tournament to raise money for its efforts toward offering affordable housing to low-income families across the Napa Valley.

The event is May 12 at Eagle Vines Golf Club and offers golf, a dinner and silent auction.

The tournament starts at 1 p.m. The dinner and auction goes from 6-8 p.m.

The cost for golf and dinner is $125. The cost for dinner-only is $50.

Harvest Middle School Golf Tournament May 15

The second annual Harvest Middle School Golf Tournament, presented by the Harvest Middle School Parent Faculty Club, is May 15 at Napa Golf Course in Kennedy Park.

Check-in is at 12 p.m. The tournament starts at 1:30 p.m.

Money raised in the golf tournament will be used to help Harvest teachers provide materials and curriculum in the classroom.

The tournament fee will be $99 per golfer (pre-registration is recommended) and includes green fees, cart, 3-par poker contest, dinner/drinks, a chance for one golfer to attempt a 50-foot putt for $5,000, and team prizes.

Organizers are also looking for sponsors for the event. Sponsorships can range from $2,000 for a Harvest Gold Sponsorship, to a tee sign for $125.

The tournament will also include a raffle.

Chief and Roxie Green Memorial Scholarship Golf May 21

The third annual Chief and Roxie Green Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament is May 21 at 10 a.m. at Napa Golf Course in Kennedy Park.

It’s a shotgun start.

Napa Nissan has joined the tournament as a sponsor and will award a car as a hole-in-one prize.

The cost is $95 per player and is a four-person scramble format.

The tournament will generate two scholarships for scholar-athletes at Napa High School.

New Tech High School golf tournament May 22

A golf tournament for New Tech High School is May 22 at Vintner’s Golf Club, 7901 Solano Ave., Yountville. The golf tournament is to raise funds for sports equipment and to furnish a new gym being built on the New Tech campus.

Check-in and a putting contest is at 10 a.m. The tournament starts at 11 a.m.

The cost is $100 for individual players and $400 for four players. This includes a putting contest, nine-hole scramble, lunch with wine hosted, bucket of range balls, and prizes. This will also give you a chance to bid on silent auction items.

The deadline for sign up is May 19.

Napa Valley College’s Storm Classic June 9

Napa Valley College will hold the fifth annual Storm Classic Golf Tournament — a benefit for NVC athletics — on June 9 on the North Course at Silverado Resort.

Registration is at 10 a.m. and the tournament has a noon shotgun start. There are divisions for scramble and two best-net balls.

A reception will be held afterward in the Silverado Members Clubhouse.

The cost is $190 for entries that are received before May 28. The cost for a foursome is $700.

The entry fee includes lunch on the course, range balls prior to play, a shared cart, tee prize and green fees, and dinner.

The cost for entries received after May 28 is $200 per person.

There are prizes for hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin on all par 3’s, and men’s and women’s long drives.

Sponsorships, ranging from $100 to $4,000, are available.
