The Philadelphia Eagles announced on their website Monday that they have signed guard-center Mike Gibson, a Napa High graduate, to a two-year contract.
Now in his second stint with the Eagles, Gibson (6-foot-3, 298 pounds) spent parts of the past three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
He played in the final three games of the 2011 campaign after appearing in 14 contests with eight starts at guard (five at right, three at left) in 2010.
He started both postseason games for Seattle at right guard that season as well. The 26-year-old was originally a sixth-round draft choice of the Eagles in 2008 and spent that season on the injured reserve list with a shoulder injury.
He was a member of the Eagles practice squad in 2009 before being signed by Seattle to their active roster and playing in three games.
Gibson was a college teammate of wide receiver DeSean Jackson at California.
